Scientific background

I am a physician and epileptologist. At the Department of Paediatric Neurology of the Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and Motol University Hospital, I completed my postgraduate studies under the supervision of Prof. Pavel Kršek, PhD, focusing on functional imaging methods in epilepsy surgery. Currently, I serve as the Deputy Head for educational and scientific activities at the same clinic.

As a co-author and lead author, I have contributed to several scientific publications in the fields of epileptology and paediatric neurology. I have been a co-investigator in several national and international grants and clinical studies. In 2006 as a student, I completed a clinical internship at the University Hospital in Enugu, Nigeria. In 2010, I undertook a research internship at the epileptology unit in Miami Children’s Hospital, Florida, and in 2016, a clinical internship at the Neurology Clinic of the University Hospital in Grenoble, France, focusing on SEEG.

Research interests

Clinical science in the field of epileptology and epilepsy surgery, particularly functional imaging, SEEG, and insular epilepsy.
