Natalie Prochazkova, MSc
PhD student
Laboratory of Neural Circuit Optophysiology
Department of Physiology, Second Faculty of Medicine, Charles University
Scientific background
I started my scientific journey as an undergraduate student at the Institute of Experimental Medicine of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where I studied synaptic plasticity and its modulation at the Laboratory of Prof. Jendelová. Now I´m working at the Department of Physiology of Second Faculty of Medicine as a PhD student. My goal is to elucidate the relationship between morphology and cytoarchitecture of the lesion in focal cortical dysplasia and its epileptogenicity.
Research interests
Epilepsy, focal cortical dysplasia, interneurons, cell morphology, stereology, mTOR pathway, optogenetics, microscopy, rodent surgery, high frequency oscillations, EEG
