Prof. Vladimír Komárek has received the prestigious Jan Evangelista Purkyně Award for Lifetime Achievement, the highest award of the Czech Medical Association of J. E. Purkyně. The award was granted following the unprecedented joint nomination from six medical societies: Czech Neurological Society, Czech Pediatric Society, Society of Paediatric Neurology, Society of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine, Czech Society for Clinical Neurophysiology, and Czech League Against Epilepsy.
