Scientific background

During my high school years, I participated in Students` Professional Activities programme in the field of Physical Chemistry. I had an opportunity to work in a scientific team and gained a lot of valuable experience. I continued to pursue science during my medical studies, assisting in various projects and managing registries at the Department of Neurology. Following my graduation, I was admitted to a combined MD/PhD program as a secondary physician at the same department. I am mostly interested in epileptology and cognitive science. My PhD thesis is focused on the human brain numerical cognition which I explore in patients with epilepsy through a unique investigation method, i.e. the intracranial EEG.

Research interests

consciousness, numerical cognition, intracranial EEG, epilepsy surgery, epilepsy in women, genetics of epilepsy
